File Servers

At present, domain-wide file services are being provided by two Windows file servers.  They are Lono.ece.ncsu.edu and Kane.ece.ncsu.edu.  Software packages deployed at the NCSU OU level are typically stored on these servers.  Software packages deployed at the college and/or departmental level are typically stored on departmental file servers.  Lono and Kane do not provide general end user file services otherwise.

There is also a file server, wt-file-00.wofltech.ad.ncsu.edu, that will eventually take over the file services provided by Lono and Kane.  The schedule for this has not been determined at this time.  So much to do, so little time…
